2 Afghan soldiers killed, 13 missing after Taliban attack in Herat

KABUL, Afghanistan: At least two Afghan national army soldiers were killed and 13 others went missing following an attack by the Taliban militants in the country’s western Herat province, the local security officials said.

The attack took place on a security check post in Chehl Dukhtar area of Rabat-e-Sangi district on late Sunday.

In the meantime, unconfirmed reports suggest that the missing soldiers have joined the Taliban group and have taken with them the weapons and ammunition.
