Two killed, many injured after blasts occur in China's Xinjiang

BEIJING, China: At least two persons were killed while many others sustained injuries when a series of blasts rocked China’s far western province of Xinjiang, the local government said on Monday.

The Xinjiang government’s Tianshan web portal said that the blasts occurred about 5 pm local time Sunday in at least three different places in the southern part of Luntai County, 360 kilometers (220 miles) southwest of the provincial capital, Urumqi.
