Monitoring Desk–Amethi: A Police constable was killed in a clash in Amethi between alleged supporters of Anant Vikram Singh, the son of Congress MP Sanjay Singh, and police.

According to Indian television channels, Constable Vijay Mishra died after sustaining a bullet injury in firing by the protesters, said Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Munnalal.

According to police, the incident took place this morning as supporters of Anant Vikram, son of Sanjay Singh gathered to stop Sanjay Vikram to enter his house who is occupied by his son Anant and his mother. Sanjay Singh and his second wife Amita are locked in a dispute over the ancestral house with Anant Vikram and Garima–first wife of Sanjay Singh.
