COAS expresses satisfaction over operation Zarb-e-Azb

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has expressed satisfaction over achieving targets in the ongoing military operation Zarb-e-Azb against the militants, says a press release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday.

The ISPR said that the COAS spent Defence of Pakistan Day with jawans in Mir Ali area of the North Waziristan tribal region on Saturday. He was also given a detailed briefing about the operation.

The COAS said that eradication of the curse of terrorism is the national mission. He said that the soldiers are making new history of courage and sacrifices in the operation.

Raheel Sharif said that hundreds of terrorists have been arrested and such operations will continue. He said that a number of terrorists have been killed by the coordinated operation of the security forces.

The Army Chief also visited the internally displaced persons (IDPs) camp at Baka Khel in Bannu and spent some time with them.
