ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A high level consultative meeting is in progress on Thursday at the Parliament House in Islamabad with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the chair to discuss the prevailing political crisis.
The parliamentary parties’ leaders including Syed Khursheed Shah, Aitzaz Ahsan, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Aftab Sherpao, Ghazi Gulab Jamal, Abbas Afridi, Ijazul Haq, Mir Hasil Bizejno, Tariqullah, Zahid Hamid, Ishaq Dar, Pervaiz Rasheed and Khawaja Saad Rafiq are attending the meeting.
The leaders are also discussing attempts made by the opposition Jirga led by the Jamaat-e-Islami leader Sirajul Haq to negotiate a settlement between the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and the Pakistan Awami Tehreek.
