ISLAMABAD: The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condemned the recent terrorists attack at the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, and said that his government looks forward to working closely with Pakistani leadership in an atmosphere free from confrontation and violence.

In a letter to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the Indian premier said that relationship between India and Pakistan defined by peace, friendship and cooperation will unleash enormous opportunities for the young population in two countries.

Modi said that peace in the area will also help secure a more prosperous future for our people and accelerate progress across our region.

The Indian prime minister also condemned the terrorists attack on Karachi airport and conveyed his deepest condolences for the loss of innocent lives in this senseless and barbaric attack.

In addition, he also thanked his Pakistani counterpart for attending his swearing in ceremony in New Delhi.
