KARACHI: An explosion took place near old wholesale vegetable market in Karachi on Thursday, killing at least four persons including a Station House Officer (SHO) Shafiq Tanoli and injuring five others.
The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Nasir Lodhi said that the SHO was killed along with his friend when a suicide bomber targeted a shop in old vegetable market near Tanoli’s house where he was present at the time of attack.
The law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area while those killed and injured were shifted to the hospital.
