China assures Pakistan of continued cooperation for its development

BEIJING: The Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang has said that his country will continue to provide all out cooperation for the development and prosperity of Pakistan.

Li made these remarks in a meeting with Prime Minister MNawaz Sharif on the sidelines of Boao forum.

During the meeting, both the leaders discussed ways to boost bilateral relations in diverse fields. They also discussed the regional and global issues of common interest.

The Pakistani premier congratulated his Chinese counterpart on successful arrangement of Boao Forum for Asia.

Sharif said that Pakistan values its relations with China, and promoting friendship with Beijing is the cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy.

The Chinese premier said that we have excellent cooperation in all sectors with Pakistan and share common views on regional and global issues. He said that China will continue to provide all out cooperation for the development and prosperity of Pakistan.

The Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatimi were also present in the meeting.

Shahbaz Sharif said that China’s speedy economic development is a role model for all nations particularly Pakistan. He thanked the Chinese leadership and the government for a $32 billion investment package for Pakistan.
