Lahore: Lahore International Tourism Expo (LITE) 2014 will start on April 19 at Lahore Expo Centre. Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) is hosting the event.

This two-days event is an opportunity for those who are looking for new networking and attracting tourists for expansion of their brand image.  It will comprise of “Tourism Products Showcase” exhibition where 170 local and international Stakeholders are expected to participate. There will be also a “Tourism Forum” where stakeholders will meet to share their activities.
Lahore International Tourism Expo 2014 (LITE) combines exhibition, networking, and visibility to capture the energy of rapidly expanding tourism industry in Pakistan, LITE-2014 provided a venue for business expansion, and bold, forward-looking action.

TDCP is taking several initiatives to promote tourism in Punjab and LITE is one of these series of initiatives.

Ukraine to receive 500,000 artillery shells by yearend from Czech Republic Monitoring Desk: In dire need to counter Russian aggression, Ukraine will receive 500,000 shells of various calibers by the end of this year from Czech Republic, reports Ukrinform. Referring to announcement of Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský, Ukrinform reports that Czech Republic will continue to provide support to Ukraine to repel and stop Russian aggression. "As you know, my country has launched an initiative on ammunition. By the end of the year, 500,000 large-caliber shells will be delivered. We will not stop there.
