India seeks new avenues to resolve all outstanding issues with Pakistan

NEW DELHI: Indian Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid said on Wednesday that Pakistan and India will have to find out new avenues for the resolution of all outstanding issues including Kashmir.

In a meeting with a delegation of Pakistani media in New Delhi on Wednesday, the Indian foreign minister said that both the countries will have to do away with their old thinking and take new measures for the solution of problems and lasting peace in the region.

Khurshid said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif appeared to be sincere in improving the relations with India and Shahbaz Sharif’s visit to India has given a new turn to the ties of the two neighbourly countries.

The Indian foreign minister underlined the need of giving a further boost to the trade ties for meeting the requirements of the people Pakistan and India.

Talking about the Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline project, Khurshid said that India was ready to take gas from Iran and Central Asia via Pakistan.
