Saud Al-Faisal visit to Pakistan: Saudis validate financial support while Pakistan promises to keep its borders open for Afghans

Islamabad: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have finalized the strategy to face post Nato forces withdrawal scenario and Saudi Arabia will provide financial assistance to Pakistan to cater load of expected Afghan refugees in case Afghanistan will destabilize during or after withdrawal of ISAF troops and Pakistan accepted Saudi demand to keep its border open for Afghans inflow inside Pakistan, claim diplomatic circles in Islamabad.

Saudi Foreign Minister Saud Al-Faisal, who is currently on a two-day official visit in Islamabad, held detail meeting with Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif and his team and both discussed Afghan issue in detail, said sources who further maintained that Saudi Arabia confirmed its financial assistance to cater the load of expected refugees and Pakistan will keep its border open for Afghans to reach Pakistan in case Karzai or next government is destabilize by Taliban.

Sources maintain that Saudi Arabia will use its channels to negotiate a deal with Tehrik-i-Taliban (TTP) Pakistan and a high powered Saudi delegation comprising of its intelligence official will visit Pakistan soon to work out negotiation with TTP.
