ISLAMABAD: The capital police have foiled a major terrorism attempt in Islamabad by arresting the alleged suicide bomber and mastermind, sources said on Thursday.
The suspected terrorists identified as Muhammad Saeed Abdullah and Matiullah were planning to attack an Imambargah in sector G-6 area of Islamabad on Muharram 9, but security forces foiled the attack by arresting them last night, sources said.
Police also seized suicide jackets and other equipment from their possession.
