LONDON/KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has appreciated the decisions of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and cabinet regarding restoration of peace in Karachi.

In a statement the MQM chief welcomed the decisions and expected positive changes in the city.

The MQM chief said that his would cooperate with the government in restoring peace in Karachi.

Altaf chief said that the incidents of targeted killing, extortion and snatching have become routine and the people of the city want to get rid of these things.

The federal cabinet during a special meeting in Karachi on Wednesday decided to grant special powers to Rangers for restoration of peace in the city plagued with political and ethnic violence, gang war and criminal activities.
