ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar is to hand over a draft of the proposed national security policy to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday.

According to sources, the draft has recommended that all political and religious parties should unite on one platform to build a consensus in ongoing war against terrorism.

All state institution, it recommended, should undertake joint efforts in war against terrorism.

Security agencies have been directed to overcome difference and adopt a joint strategy to tackle the menace of terrorism.

In addition, the new policy has proposed the establishment of a special cell and a think tank comprising retired security officials in the office of Interior Ministry.
