MUMBAI/NEW DELHI: The Pakistani government has requested India to ensure security and safety of offices of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) located in Mumbai and New Delhi after Indian extremist groups issued threats to them.

It is pertinent to mention that the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi was attacked by supporters of the Congress Party’s Youth Wing on August 7, while the Lahore Bound friendship bus was stopped in Amritsar by protesters in Amritsar on August 10.
