ISLAMABAD:  Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has reached the Supreme Court to appear before it in connection with the contempt of court notice.

Talking with media while going to the SC, Khan refused to tender an apology in the contempt of court case.

He said that he and his party always respected judiciary and participated in the struggle for independent judiciary.

‘Democracy is impossible without independent judiciary’ he said.

The PTI chief said that he had not said anything wrong hence there is no point to apologize.

He said that white paper will be issued against the worst rigging in the elections.

A three-judge bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, will hear the case today.

Security has been tightened around the apex court.
