Monitoring Desk:
It is an unprecedented development that top leaders from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye have gathered in Iran to discuss the establishment of regional peace.
All the credit goes to one man who has been standing with faith and courage against all detractors and spoilers of peace, and he is the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Field Marshal Asim Munir.

The recent visit to Iran by the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Field Marshal Asim Munir, laid the groundwork for today’s meeting. Iranian spokesperson Esmail Baghaei Hamaneh has also confirmed the CDF’s pivotal role and his initiative in organizing this significant peace-building effort and the four-nation meeting.
This is the strength, cohesion, and resolve of the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement, which are clearly demonstrated by the fact that its signatories have now come together to pursue peace in the region.
Pakistan is playing a crucial and key role in making sincere and serious efforts to spare the region—and the world—from the devastation of a potential war between the United States and Iran.
Within the broader context of ensuring regional peace and stability, issues concerning the Houthis will also be discussed during the meeting.
