Overseas Pakistanis Convention 2025 was the first and unusual convention of its kind in the history of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation, in which Pakistanis living abroad participated in full force. The participants appreciated the arrangements of the convention and termed it a wonderful experience, and said that the warmth and respect with which they were welcomed was unprecedented. For the first time, overseas Pakistanis were given such respect and dignity, which was a proud moment for them.
The government of Pakistan, the military leadership, and all stakeholders are working day and night to improve the country’s economic situation and further highlight its identity in the international scene, and now the fruits of their efforts are starting to be seen.
On the one hand, the economy is getting stronger, and on the other hand, Pakistan is emerging as an important country at the international and diplomatic level, an example of which was the recent visit of US Congress members to Pakistan, which all these US Congress members described as positive and successful. Along with this, the Overseas Pakistanis Convention held in Pakistan was a historic moment in which Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir addressed and encouraged the overseas Pakistanis and sent a clear and blunt message to the enemies of the country.
The rousing address of the Chief of Army Staff and the impressive speech of the Prime Minister were the prominent aspects of the convention. The government not only successfully organized the event but also introduced several measures for overseas Pakistanis while controlling inflation and the dollar, including a plan to send 150,000 Pakistanis to Belarus, a proposal for separate courts for overseas Pakistanis, and other incentives. After this convention, there is a strong hope that now overseas Pakistanis will not only invest but also start social services in Pakistan.
The presence of the Army Chief at the convention of overseas Pakistanis created a different and enthusiastic atmosphere, where the enthusiasm of overseas Pakistanis was noticeable. He said that if the Army Chief’s speech is considered a reflection of complete command and control, it would not be out of place. The Army Chief’s voice, confidence, conviction, and action were all signs of clear and strong leadership. During the passionate speech, the slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” by overseas Pakistanis gave a clear message to the enemies of the country and terrorists that everyone is united in the name of Pakistan.
Addressing this historic and unprecedented overseas convention, the Army Chief gave a clear message that such activities that harm the country will be dealt with an iron hand. According to him, both the government and the state are completely agreed and determined that there is no room for any kind of leniency in the matter of national security. The Army Chief also removed the misconception regarding the hard state in a very tactful manner. The Army Chief said that Pakistan will now become a “hard state”, which means that all institutions will work within their parameter under the constitutional framework, and the rule of law will be implemented with full force.
The anti-national elements who spread negative propaganda regarding brain drain have given such an effective response to their propaganda in this convention that now all tongues are silent. The Army Chief said in his address that this is not brain drain but “brain gain”. That is, the intelligence and capabilities of the nation are not being wasted, but this capital is coming back. He also gave the message that a few terrorists cannot defeat the state of Pakistan. The Army Chief presented an unambiguous position on the Khwaraj sedition, BLA terrorism in Balochistan, the brutality of the Indian army in occupied Kashmir and Gaza. The Army Chief said in clear and blunt words that a handful of terrorists cannot become an obstacle to the bright future of Balochistan and Pakistan. Even ten generations of terrorists cannot harm Pakistan and Balochistan. If it is said that this speech of Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir is a vigorous effort to take the country towards a positive, strong and constitutional direction, then it will be correct.
