In a bid to help the Ukrainian armed forces battling in the Donetsk region against the Russian invasion, the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) has raised funds to donate a vehicle to the former.

The NUJU raised funds and purchased a Volkswagen Transporter (T5) Van in Lithuania for EUR 4,500, and later delivered it to Ukraine for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).National Union of Journalists of Ukraine steps in to support Country’s battling armed forces

The money was raised by well-known volunteer journalist Viktoriya Hamaza, 10-year-old vice-champion of Ukraine in checkers in 2022 Tetiana Portianko, the Ukrainian Soul charity foundation, and the caring journalistic community.

The Lithuanian Union of Journalists also contributed to the cause.
