MOSCOW, Russia: The historic visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to the Russian Federation has paved the way for both nations to undertake cooperation in many areas including technology.

In Moscow, Russia’s Skolkovo Foundation and the Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) of Pakistan signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to boost cooperation in the technology sector, establish closer business relations and foster strategic cooperation and exchanges between the Russian and Pakistani scientific and technological institutions and enterprises.

The LOI was signed between the Chairman of the Board Skolkovo Foundation Igor Drozdov and the Chairman Special Technology Zones Authority Amer Hashmi.

The Signing Ceremony was also witnessed by Prime Minister Imran Khan and his Cabinet Members.

On February 24, Prime Minister Imran Khan had a Summit Meeting with the Russian President Vladimir V. Putin in the Kremlin, and held a wide-ranging consultations on bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.

In Moscow, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, the Grand Mufti of Russia Ravil Gainutdin, the Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov, and Russian & Pakistani Businessmen also met Prime Minister Imran Khan separately.

Later, Prime Minister Imran Khan returned to Pakistan after concluding two-day meaningful visit to Russia.

The prime minister was bade a ceremonial farewell at the airport.
