The two sides have never met in a T20I before; therefore, it would be their first clash in this format of the game.

So far Pakistan remain unbeaten in the tournament and their next two games against Namibia and Scotland are relatively easier ones. Though Pakistan are on the verge of qualifying for the semis but they must clinch another victory to cement their place in the next round.

In Abu Dhabi, Pakistan have played nine T20 Internationals and won six of them. However, Pakistan lost a T20 at the venue last time in February 2012 against England and afterward, they haven’t tasted a defeat and stretched the winning streak to five matches.

Namibia have featured in 4 T20Is at the venue, and possess a 50 percent winning percentage.

Last night at Sharjah, England thrashed Sri Lanka by 26 runs and bagged two more points.

Batting first, England scored 163 for 4 in 20 overs. The wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler smashed 101 runs off 67 balls with 6 sixes and the equal number of fours.

In reply, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 137 runs in 19 overs.

Currently, Pakistan with 6 points and England with 8 points are atop in their respective groups.
