ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that he will visit Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Iran and hold talks with their leadership in the context of the Afghan situation.
In a statement on Monday, the minister said that we have already held talks with China.
The foreign minister said that being a multi-ethnic Country, Pakistan supports the formation of a broad-based and an inclusive government in Afghanistan.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that anti-peace forces are still active in Afghanistan.
The foreign minister said that India will have to shun its narrow-minded approach.
The minister said that the Indian media made hue and cry irresponsibly over his alleged visit to Kabul which damaged its credibility. He said that the Indian media should have confirmed either he visited Kabul or not. He said that he didn’t visit Kabul rather, attended important meetings in Pakistan.
Qureshi reiterated that Pakistan wants peace, stability and development in Afghanistan and is engaging with those who think about the Afghan people.
The foreign minister that Pakistan is not favoring any particular group in Afghanistan. He said that Pakistan is endeavoring for the betterment of Afghanistan, and desires to establish a conducive environment for the Afghan people.
