ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The renowned education expert and former President of theĀ  International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) Dr. Anwar Hussain Siddiqui passed away on Monday.

His funeral prayer will be offered at Faisal Masjid in Islamabad at 1:15 pm on Wednesday (March 17). Later, he will be laid to rest at H-11 graveyard.

The IIUI Rector Professor Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, President Professor Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, and the University fraternity expressed deep grief and sorrow on the demise of Dr. Siddiqui.

They said that his services for the University are exemplary and his contributions for the promotion of education will always be remembered.
