Islamabad: Former Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali is candidate of PMLN for Speaker of the National Assembly. Jamali has has mostly been in power in different government from dictator Gen Musharraf to all government of PML. He was right hand of former Prime Minister late Muhammad Khan Juenejo, then Mian Nawaz sharif , then former Prime Minister Ch Shujaat Hussian and again now he is with Mian Nawaz Sharif. He contested election from Balochistan as independent candidate and then joined PMLN during his meeting with Mian Nawaz Sharif last week. He had been also served as chief minister of Balochistan.

Zafarullah Khan Jamali was born in the “Rojhan Jamali village of Dera Murad Jamali, in Nasirabad District of Commissariat Baluchistan of British Indian Empire on 1 January 1944.[10] Jamali hails from an educated Baloch family who had been under influence of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. His uncle, Jafar Khan Jamali, was a prominent leader of the Pakistan Movement, and was a close associate of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Founder of Pakistan; his family had been active in politics since 1932.
