ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Thursday recommend upto Rs2.20 per litre hike in POL prices from June 1.

It was proposed in a summary dispatched to the Ministry of Petroleum today, sources said.

According to the summary, the petrol rates were recommended to be hiked by Rs2.20 per litre and that of light diesel by Rs0.10.

A cut of Rs1.50 per litre in Hi-speed diesel price and Rs0.40 per liter in Kerosene oil rate was recommended in the summary.

Sources said the OGRA would notify new rates after a final approval of the summary in consultation with petroleum and finance ministries.

The new rates would be affective from June 1.
