LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday imposed ban on substandard gas kit fitted vehicles.

During the hearing of the case that seeks to impose ban on vehicles fitted with substandard gas kits, LHC Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial remarked that the health department was indifferent despite the horrific Gujrat incident.

The CJ said a heart wrenching incident that took place in Gujrat but the transport department didn’t show any care or responsibility in this regard.

The Court sought detailed report of the incident and ordered IG Punjab, Chief Traffic Officer, Provincial government and OGRA to do further investigation in the case.

Later, the court postponed hearing of the case till June 10.
