PESHAWAR: Pakistani jets bombed militant hideouts in the Kurram tribal region during a security forces operation on Thursday killing at least 17 militants and wounding several others injured.

The militants were killed when four insurgent hideouts were destroyed in the action in central Kurram’s Tabay area.

Moreover, several militants were also injured, official sources said.

For past three weeks, a military operation has been ongoing in central Kurram. At least 100 militants have reportedly been killed and several insurgent hideouts have been destroyed during this time.
