Elections 2013MQM boycotts re-election in NA-250

KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Friday announced to boycott the re-poll at 43 polling stations of NA-250 constituency in Karachi, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

“We reject Election Commission of Pakistan’s decision in this regard as it was not fair. We will move the courts against this parochial decision in the light of constitution”, MQM’s senior leader Raza Haroon said in a press conference held on Friday evening.

The MQM’s senior leader said that efforts were made to steal the party’s mandate in Karachi.

Raza Haroon said the forces of terror singled out MQM only because it was a progressive party, adding certain political parties were in cahoots with terrorists.

“The terrorists, who some political groups have taken under their wings, want to repress the enlightened forces in Karachi”, he added.
