RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Najibullah Alikhil met the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at Pakistan army’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi on Thursday.

The COAS welcomed the Afghan ambassador and expressed hope that his services will help optimize Pakistan-Afghanistan bilateral relations.

The two dignitaries exchanged views on the regional security situation, the ongoing Afghan peace process, border management & defense, and security cooperation during the meeting.Najibullah Alikhil - Afghanistan’s ambassador to Pakistan Najibullah Alikhil met the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at Pakistan army’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi on Thursday. Separately, the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider also met the COAS and discussed matters of mutual interest particularly the situation on the Line of Control (LoC) and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K).

During the meeting, General Qamar Javed Bajwa reiterated Pakistan army’s utmost support and commitment to Kashmir’s cause and the people of Kashmir.
