ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi presided over a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad on Friday to review the regional security, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.

The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on National Security Dr. Moeed Yusuf, the Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood, and Senior Military & Foreign Ministry Officials.

In the meeting, a detailed discussion was held regarding the ongoing Indian aggression in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the overall law and order situation in the region.Shah Mahmood Qureshi - The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Friday presided over a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad to review the regional security. In his remarks at the meeting, the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that India's Hindutva ideology and aggressive policies pose serious threats to peace and stability in the entire region. The foreign minister said that India is resorting to ceasefire violations and targeting the civilian population along the Line of Control (LoC) to cover up its internal weaknesses and the ongoing gross human rights violations in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that India remains bent upon its stubbornness even after suffering a humiliating defeat at the hands of China in border scuffle. The minister maintained that Pakistan is raising the issue of Indian army’s atrocities and persistent human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir at every international and regional forum including the United Nations. Qureshi urged the International Community to take notice of India’s barbarism. The meeting also discussed other regional security issues including the Afghan peace process. The foreign minister said that India wants to sabotage peace efforts in Afghanistan.
