Islamabad, Pakistan: The Ambassador of Pakistan for Ukraine held a meeting with the Acting Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Yurii Gresko to discuss cooperation between the border agency both the countries.

According to official information, the meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Ukraine, Zahid Mubashir Sheikh and Yurii Gresko covered important issues including smooth border control crossing for citizens of both the countries at airports and also discussed opportunities for further bilateral relations development with the Consular Department and strengthening the cooperation within the competence. The Head of Chancery of Pakistan Embassy Zeb Alam Khan also attended the meeting.

The meeting was held at the building of State Border Guard Service. During the meeting parties discussed the cooperation between the border agency of Ukraine and Embassy of Pakistan to Ukraine on mutual travel of citizens and interaction regarding identification of Pakistan citizens.

“Existing cooperation between the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the Embassy of Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Ukraine is conducted on the appropriate level and in the future we will strive to improve our cooperation”, – Yurii Gresko stated.

While talking to Dispatch News Desk (DND) News Agency from Kyiv, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Ukraine Zahid Mubashir Sheikh stated that one of the main goal of Embassy is to improve the border crossing procedures for Pakistani. He stated that the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan is to facilitate Pakistanis travelling or working abroad and as Ambassador of Pakistan he would continue to work for smooth facilitation of Pakistanis visiting to Ukraine and Embassy would facilitate maximum to Pakistanis while going through border formalities of entering the Ukraine by tourists and businessmen from Pakistan.

He called meeting very “productive and useful” and a milestone for further cooperation with Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
