In an interview with Eurasia Diary, Lavrina stated that the representatives from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Israel and Palestine participated in the programme.
The Assistant to the President of the International Eurasia Press Fund political analyst and Eurasian expert Anastasia Lavrina emphasized during the interactive sessions of programmes that there is no relation between democracy and peace in Karabakh.
“Peace has no connection with the political system and the regime in the country. If Armenia wants peace talks, they have to take their military troops out of occupied Azerbaijani territory. The revolution does not have any link with peacebuilding”, said Lavrina.

She also spoke about ecological damages of war in the occupied regions of Azerbaijan as well. She was of the view that war in occupied regions always damaged ecology of the area.
Lavrina also raised issue about occupied Sarsang water reservoir. It may be mentioned that Azerbaijan has indicated that the Sarsang Reservoir is possing threats to nearly 400,000 people living in the Karabakh lowlands due to poor maintenance after illegal occupation of area by Armenia.
Although Azerbaijan has taken measures to minimise potential damage that water evacuation could cause but Armenia is depriving farmers from seven Azerbaijani villages in the Tartar District from accessing water of the dam.
