WANA, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday announced construction of two degree colleges, 100 kilometer roads, a grid station, a sports complex and installation of solar systems in South Waziristan.

While addressing a large public gathering at South Waziristan’s headquarter Wana, the prime minister announced that Rs 100 billion will be spent on uplift of tribal districts annually.

Imran Khan assured that health and education facilities will be enhanced in tribal areas. He announced all the tribal people will be provided Sehat Insaf Card whereby every family will be allowed to spend Rs 720,000 on their treatment.

The prime minister said that special quota will be fixed in jobs for tribal youth whereas Interest free loan will also be provided to tribal youth for starting their own business.

In addition, he announced that small dams will be constructed to provide clean drinking water to people of Waziristan.

The prime minister said that despite financial crisis, the government is giving priority to development of tribal districts. He said that tribal people are true patriots and they have rendered great sacrifices for the nation. He said that survey is in progress to assess damages suffered by the tribal people due to terrorism.

Furthermore, Imran Khan also sought one week time to announce a separate district for Wazir in South Waziristan.

Reaffirming his commitment to recover the national looted wealth from corrupt elements, Imran Khan said that accountability of corrupt politicians will be completed and no NRO will be given to them.

Imran Khan said that the previous governments looted the national wealth mercilessly. He said that the national debts jumped to Rs 30,000 billion from Rs 6,000 billion during the last 10 years.

Earlier the prime minister also addressed tribal elders at Spinkai Raghzai area of South Waziristan district, and said that his government is taking steps for the development of all backward areas in the Country.

Imran Khan said that his government is trying its level best to provide justice and basic amenities of live to all people of the society on the pattern of Islamic Welfare State of Medina.

The prime minister said that our revenue is Rs 4,500 billion, out of which, Rs 2,000 billion are being paid as interest on foreign debts.
