ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Hussain Chaudhry has urged media to highlight the positive image of the Country to boost tourism.

In his address at the Tourism Summit in Islamabad on Wednesday, the minister said that Pakistan is a beautiful Country, which can attract tourists from numerous Countries across the globe. He said that Pakistan has a great potential for religious and mountain tourism.

Fawad Chaudhry said that new visa regime introduced by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government will go a long way in promoting tourism in the Country.

The information minister further said that the Country had faced many challenges in the decades of 1970s and 1980s due to its negative perception at the global level. However, he added that the prestige of Pakistan has jumped up during the tenure of the PTI government.
