ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that that the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) is playing an appreciable role in the education sector.

Talking to the IIUI President Dr. Ahmad Yousif A. Al-Draiweesh and its Rector Dr. Masoom Yasinzai in Islamabad on Wednesday, the president however emphasized the need for further improving ranking of the University so that more foreign students could be attracted to it.

Dr. Arif Alvi said that social and economic progress depends on development in the education sector.

The president urged the educational institutions to play their due role in formulating public policy through research.
