Government of PakistanShireen Mazari slams India over Human rights violations in Kashmir

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari has said that human rights violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir are crimes against humanity.

In a meeting with the Chairman South Asia Centre for Peace and Human Rights Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl in Islamabad on Friday, Shireen Mazari expressed her deep concern about the deteriorating human rights situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).

“We are aware of the systematic brutalities of Indian occupation forces against women and violations of human rights in IOK. We will move beyond to find a conflict resolution solution premised on plebiscite,” she said.

Dr Shireen Mazari said that International Community should raise the voice against Indian brutalities and worst Human rights violations particularly against women in IOK, adding that world should come forward to resolve the longstanding issue of Kashmir.

The Head of the Department of Law, AJK University and Incharge AJK Chapter, SACPHR Mir Adnan Rahman was also present in the meeting.
