LAHORE, Pakistan: The Gilgit-Baltistan Governor Raja Jalal Hussain has requested the Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Ahmed Buzdar to allocate Fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS) quota for doctors of Gilgit-Baltistan in teaching hospitals in the province.
In a meeting with the Punjab Chief Minister held in Lahore on Wednesday, Raja Jalal Hussain also requested for increase in seats for students of Gilgit-Baltistan in engineering and medical colleges and provision of a piece of land in Rawalpindi for girls hostel.
Usman Buzdar told the Gilgit-Baltistan Governor that the Punjab government will provide medicines and other equipment to hospitals in Gilgit-Baltistan. He said that the provincial government will play its part in the development of Gilgit-Baltistan.
The Punjab Chief Minister said that the government adheres to the promotion of inter-provincial harmony. He said that the whole Country will prosper if all of its units collectively endeavor for development.
