ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that 2019 is the year for beginning of Pakistan’s golden era.

In a twitter message on the eve of New Year, the prime minister said that our New Year resolution is to wage jihad against the four ills of poverty, illiteracy, injustice and corruption.

Last night, Pakistani nation along with the World Community welcomed the advent of New Year 2019 with traditional zeal and passion.

As the clock struck 12:00 am, spectacular displays of fireworks were held at several places across the Country.

Meanwhile, the Director General Inter services Public relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor said that Pakistan army will pursue a peaceful, prosperous and vibrant Pakistan in 2019.

In a tweet, he said that the entire nation is united and we will consolidate our successes.

The director general ISPR paid rich tribute and salute to the resilient Pakistanis and Martyrs. He prayed Allah Almighty may continue His blessings upon us.
