QUETTA: Some unknown people blew up the main pipeline providing gas to Sindh on Tuesday that resulted in the disruption of gas supply to parts of Sindh.

Unidentified people planted explosives along the 18-inch-diameter pipeline in Malguzar area of Dera Bugti district and blew it up early in the morning, Levies sources said.

“A 10-foot portion of the pipeline supplying gas to parts of Sindh from Sui area was destroyed,” they said.

“Soon after the blast, engineers cut off gas supply. The repair work will begin after security clearance,” Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) officials said.
