ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan will send its first ever Space Mission in 2022 as per a decision taken in the Federal Cabinet held on Thursday in Islamabad, the Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry said (Pakistan Space Mission).

While briefing the media about the Federal Cabinet meeting in a Joint Press Conference along with the Finance Minister Asad Umar and the Power Minister Umar Ayub, Fawad Chaudhry said that an agreement has been signed between the Chinese Company CMSA and Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), under which, Pakistan’s first ever Mission will be sent to the International Space in 2022.

The minister reiterated that there would be no compromise on efforts against corruption. He said that it has been decided to give official passports to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Officers.

Fawad Chaudhry further informed that it has also been decided in the Cabinet meeting to analysis National Testing Services (NTS), and in this regard, Shafqat Mehmood has been assigned the task.

In its meeting held with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the Chair, the Cabinet approved an increase of Rs 1.27 per unit in electricity price as per the earlier decision of Economic Coordination Committee (ECC).

Briefing the media about the decision, the Finance Minister Asad Umar said that no increase in electricity price has been made for the consumers using up to 300 units. He said that an approval to 10 percent increase has been accorded for consumers using from 300 to 700 units while 15 percent increase has been approved for consumer using more units.
