ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Zubair Mahmood Hayat called on President Dr Arif Alvi at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Monday.

During the meeting, professional matters pertaining to armed forces of the Country came under discussion.

Separately, the Federal Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mehmood also held a meeting with President Dr Arif Alvi today, and exchanged views on matters pertaining to education.

The president also held a telephonic conversation with the President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shahbaz Sharif, and expressed heartfelt condolence over the sad demise of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.

Dr Arif Alvi prayed for the forgiveness of Kusloom Nawaz, and patience to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.

Later in the day, President Dr Arif Alvi will address the Joint Session of the Parliament for the first time after being sworn-in as the Country’s President for next five years.
