ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday said Pakistan didn’t want unnecessary rifts with any of the Countries.

While presiding over a meeting at the Foreign Office in Islamabad, the prime minister said resolution of long pending issues with India was inevitable for the development of the region. “I have never compromised over national interest,” he added.

The prime minister said Pakistan embassies situated abroad must enhance their performance.

In the meeting attended by the Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua and other senior ranking officials of the Foreign Office, the prime minister was briefed on Pakistan’s foreign policy and relations with other Countries.

The foreign secretary briefed the prime minister regarding the creation, structure and working of the Foreign Ministry.

Tehmina Janjua also gave a briefing to the prime minister on the Country’s relations with China, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Iran, the United States and India.

Updating about the latest situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir, the foreign secretary apprised the prime minister that India had continuously been running away from dialogue, and that New Delhi was afraid of exposure of its atrocities in Occupied Kashmir. The prime minister was told that India was involved in state-terrorism in Pakistan.

The prime minister provided guidelines to the Foreign Office on the foreign policy.
