Elections 2013Aslam Mudhyana allowed to contest elections

LAHORE: Aslam Mudhyana, earlier declared ineligible by returning officer and election tribunal, has been allowed to contest upcoming polls by the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

After being declared as ineligible by returning officer and election tribunal to contest elections, former MPA had filed a petition against his ineligibility in LHC full bench.

Aslam Mudhyana stated in the court that all cases against him were lodged on political basis, adding that he was not convicted in any case.

Meanwhile, the full bench of LHC also allowed Rana Farooq Saeed, candidate for NA-79 and PP-59 for contesting polls. He was blamed of being a defaulter.
