ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: In a bid to ensure transparency in holding of general elections 2018, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday made it clear that there will be complete ban on new appointments in any federal, provincial or district department from April 1, 2018.

However, the appointments that fall under the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) and the Provincial Public Service Commission (PPSC) will be exempted from this ban, according to the ECP.
