PoliticsPakistan’s justice system needs reforms: Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday underlined the need of reforming the current Judicial System in the Country, arguing that non-provision of justice and delay in justice were big problems of the Country.

“We are working on comprehensive justice system,” Nawaz Sharif said while having an informal talk with media representatives in the Court room where he reached earlier in the morning for hearing of NAB references against the Sharif family.

“We will bring a system that is requirement of the Country,” he said.

Talking about the recent Senate Elections especially those held to elect the Chairman and the Deputy Chairman of the Upper House, Nawaz Sharif said whatever happened in the Senate, everybody witnessed it.

The former prime minister said moving the Country ahead under the Constitution and law wasn’t a bad thing.

“I am not in favor of fight, it is my desire to run the Country under the Constitution and law,” Nawaz Sharif added.

Meanwhile, the Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir accepted Nawaz Sharif’s petition seeking exemption from the personnel appearance in today’s hearing.

Earlier the former prime minister along with his daughter Maryam Nawaz and Son-in-Law Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar reached the Accountability Court.
