Lahore, Pakistan: The team of International Cricket Council (ICC) has appreciated security arrangements at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore on World XI T20 Final Day.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) circles, team International Cricket Council was given a detail briefing about security arrangements in and around Stadium Lahore on World XI T20 Final Day today September 15, 2017.

PCB circles say that ICC team expressed satisfaction with security arrangements at Gaddafi Stadium which is also known as Qazzfi Stadium Lahore and appreciated PCB for holding two last matches under excellent security arrangements.

According to Lahore Police, over 20,000 security personnel of different departments are on duty for handling Gaddafi Stadium having capacity of 27,000 spectators. All gates of Stadium Lahore were shut down at 5 pm today.

Five top intelligence agencies of Pakistan are checking and rechecking security arrangements in three kilometre radius area around the Stadium.

“This is not a match for us. This is final stage of a battle against terrorism that we have already won and we cannot let enemies to find any loophole to take advantage”, told one of security advisors of Lahore city authorities while talking to Dispatch News Desk (DND) News Agency.

“We have over 2,000 staff of intelligence agencies just for keeping an eye on security arrangements. Lahore has defeated terrorism and Lahore always against as strongest post against enemies. Our every Lahori is a soldier against terrorism and we busted a terrorist gang last week after getting tip off from citizens”, added a police official with condition of anonymity as he was not authorizes to talk to journalists.

It may be mentioned that over 10,000 policemen in uniform and plain clothes are on duty in and around Gaddafi Stadium today which is Final Day of Independence Day — World XI T20 Final.
