LAHORE, Pakistan: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore on Tuesday declared the Secondary School Certificate (Annual) Examination 2017 result showing a pass percentage of 73.75.

While giving details during the award ceremony for the position-holders at the Alhmara Hall-II, The Mall in Lahore, he said a total of 229,027 candidates applied while 226,619 appeared for the examination.

Out of which, 167,131 passed with a pass percentage of 73.75.

In the Science Group, a total of 144,070 candidates applied, 143,037 appeared for the examination, and out of which 116,240 passed with a pass percentage of 81.27.

In the Humanities Group, a total of 84,957 candidates applied for the examination, 83,582 appeared and 50,891 passed the examination showing pass percentage of 60.89.

According to the statistical data, a total of 138,728 candidates, both boys and girls, applied as regular candidates and the pass percentage stood at 83.75, while 90,299 candidates applied as private candidates showing pass percentage of 58.20.

Provincial ministers Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan and Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman were the chief guests on the occasion who gave away prizes to the distinction-holders.
