ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday imposed ban on the entry of media persons in its offices and warned of taking action against those officers who would provide news contents to the media, Dispatch News Desk (DND).

A statement issued by the ECP on Tuesday stated that all ECP staffers were restricted of talking to the journalists and they were warned of strict action for providing any news to the media. The ECP banned information through E-mail and mobile phones and restricted media’s entry in its offices across the country.

No journalists would be allowed to enter into any office of the ECP, without prior permission of the authorities, announced the ECP in statement.
