ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) will strengthen coordination with provinces to promote tourism in the Country, according to an official of the PTDC.
Talking to media in Islamabad, the PTDC’s official said that after devolution, it is very important to establish joint plan of action for promoting tourism at international level.
The official said that high ups of PTDC held number of meetings with provincial governments’ officials for joint venture. He said that it was our shared responsibility to promote tourism industry.
The PTDC’s official said that said that Managing Director PTDC Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor was visiting provinces to discuss various ideas, adding that he recently visited Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The official said that similar meetings would be conducted with provincial tourism ministries of Sindh and Punjab. He said that the Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) government and PTDC agreed to initiate number of projects.
