RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday emphasized the need to further enhance the existing military to military cooperation between the armed forces of Pakistan and Turkey.
In a meeting with the Turkish Chief of General Staff (CGS) General Hulusi Akar held at the army’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi during which they discussed matters related to the regional security, the COAS said that enhanced Pakistan-Turkey cooperation will have positive impact on the regional security.
The Turkish CGS acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts in fight against terrorism and appreciated launching of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad for elimination of terrorism from Pakistan.
Earlier on arrival, a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan army presented guard of honour to the visiting Turkish Chief of General Staff who laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e- Shuhuda to paid homage to martyrs of Pakistan army.
